Early Connection to Nature
Born in Zimbabwe, my journey into wildlife photography was shaped by the vast landscapes and rich biodiversity of southern Africa. From an early age, I found solace in nature—a refuge that offered both healing and inspiration. After a turbulent childhood and the loss of my mother when I was just 16, I spent more and more time in the wild. Out there, life made more sense. In the bush, everything is rooted in the present moment—not the past, not the future.
Over the years, I’ve spent countless hours in nature, often alone, quietly observing wildlife and capturing moments that speak for themselves. In 2012, I moved to Botswana to manage safari camps in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Being immersed in such remote wilderness was transformative—but being ‘trapped’ in camp life wasn’t for me. So in 2015, I earned my Nature Guide license, which opened the door to guiding across Botswana and exploring neighbouring countries. I went on to qualify as a trails guide and later worked with international wildlife camera crews—honing my understanding of animal behaviour and movement patterns.

Much of my photography has come from years spent exploring solo—off-road, off-grid, and often waiting in silence. These journeys have shaped not just how I shoot, but how I see. My work is rooted in presence, patience, and allowing the wild to unfold on its own terms. What began as a creative outlet has become a way to protect what I love. Supporting conservation has given real purpose to this path. Every frame tells a story worth remembering—and helps protect the species and habitats I’ve spent years getting to know.
My trusted companion, Rafiki—a resilient 30-year-old Land Cruiser—has carried me through the Okavango, the Kalahari, and far beyond, chasing light and possibility. It’s in those quiet moments, far from roads and noise, that I’ve felt most alive. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that we need nature—maybe more than we realise. Whether you find it on safari or bring it into your home through art, I hope you’ll find your own way back to the wild.
Some of my values
-
Conservation
At my core, I am a conservationist and although I have not gone down the line of direct conservation work, I am using my photography to give back to the programs and selfless people dedicated to protecting wildlife and habitat for our future generations to come. All purchases on this site support conservation in southern Africa.
-
Exploration
If I am not with guests on safari I am out exploring new wildlife areas in southern Africa or revisiting my favorites in the Okavango and the Kalahari. Generally alone but never without my trusty steed, Rafiki.
-
Education
There is always something to learn in nature, and being in a position to pass on what I have learned about the natural world to others is such a privilege. From a guiding perspective, a lot of what I do is educating, but still being open to being educated along the way is a big part of the journey.
