My Journey Behind the Lens

Photography began as a quiet companion in moments of solitude—a way to make sense of the world and find beauty, even in difficult seasons. The African wilderness became my refuge, a place of healing and connection, where I could listen, learn, and just be. Over time, what started as a personal exploration evolved into a deeper calling: to protect what I was falling in love with. Supporting conservation has given my photography real purpose—and it’s now what drives me the most.

Most of the images in this portfolio were captured while exploring on my own, when I felt most free and alive. These photographs reflect not just the majesty of Africa’s animals, but the feeling of being out there: the light, the dust, the silence, the possibility. My hope is that in sharing them, I can help others reconnect with nature too—because when we feel something, we’re more likely to protect it.
