This was the first close-up image I took of the beautiful African Green Pigeon. Generally, relatively hard to photograph as they source fruit and berries in the canopies of tall trees, this individual posed nicely on a branch as we drifted past him on a boating safari in the Okavango Delta. Its beautiful green plumage and stunning blue eye make this one of the most beautiful birds to photograph if you can get close enough to them.
