Whilst sitting at a very active Hyaena den in the Khwai area of the Okavango Delta, we were approached several times by this individual. He wasn't particularly interested in the vehicle itself but something beyond it. After checking several times all around the vehicle we couldn't work out what it was but soon our curiosity was satisfied when four African Wild Dogs ran out of the bush and caused chaos at the den! With all the pups running underground and the remaining adults charging at the wild dogs, the chaos ensued in a cloud of dust and cacophony of exciting sounds from both the hyaenas and wild dogs. The dogs quickly retreated and peace was restored, but its unexpected moments like these that make the African bush so exciting!
